Health and Safety During COVID-19

Updated: June 3, 2021

On behalf of the Trinity UMC Covid-19 Task force we want to thank everyone for their amazing commitment to our safety protocol these last 16 months. While we are still monitoring Covid-19 spread, as a church we are following the CDC’s newest recommendation for those who are vaccinated. Thus we no longer require folks who have been vaccinated to wear masks indoors, social distance or pre-register for worship. Our task force still asks that those who are yet to be vaccinated continue to wear a mask indoors. To find out more about the CDC’s guidelines click here.

We will continue to provide sections in the Traditional Sanctuary and the Nave (Contemporary) worship space for those who would like to social distance and mask while indoors.

After consultation with pediatricians from our church and with the support of the COVID19 task force at Trinity, we have made the decision to continue mask-wearing this summer for children’s ministry events that are indoors. We will ask all adults entering the space for drop off/pick up as well as adults leading classes/nursery care providers to wear a mask.  We will also ask kids 3+ to wear a mask while in the Neighborhood (children’s area). Because this demographic is not yet eligible for vaccination, we believe this policy protects our kids until this option is available for those that choose it.

Due to the fact that there is no vaccine currently available for our children under 12 years old, for the safety of our kids, we are asking that children still wear masks indoors. Click here to read the information from our Children’s Director about our summer programming guidelines.
