Food Share

Every Tuesday @ 1:00-4:00

Each week we serve over 250 local households, giving each family shelf stable groceries, produce, and meat that we receive from the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama as well as donations from church members. At the height of the pandemic, we saw over 400 households on several Tuesdays. We are also able to distribute diapers for children and adults thanks to our partnership with Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, and church member donations.

Trinity volunteers pick up our food bank orders on Mondays (10:00-11:00), and a small team unloads and sets up the gym each Monday morning (10:30-12:00). On Tuesdays, we have a morning shift of volunteers from Trinity and the community who pack the bags and set up for distribution (10:00-12:30). The afternoon shift welcomes and checks in guests, and then distributes the food in a double line drive-through service (1:00-4:00). Volunteers of all ages can plug into this ongoing relational ministry. We hope you join us! To volunteer, click here.

Amazon Wish List

We need help restocking the shelves for the families and individuals that visit our Outreach Hub on the West Homewood campus. There are so many different items needed, so one way to help communicate the current need was to create an Amazon Wish List that allows you to make a quick purchase and have the items sent directly to the Hub. Check it out and make a donation today!

We Need Drivers

Pick up trucks, large SUVs or other large vehicles are best, and our pick up window is usually a Monday morning around 10:15 AM. We will be in touch once our order is placed to confirm the pick up time. Occasionally we have pick ups on Tuesday mornings, but we will contact you if that is the case to see if it still works for you!

The Food Bank asks that drivers arrive together, wear a mask, and that all food is covered if not inside the vehicle. We have tarps at Trinity West Homewood if you need one. The orders can be picked up at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, 107 Walter Davis Dr. 35209 and brought to Trinity West Homewood. Click here to volunteer.

You can also donate non-perishable food items, adult diapers, and kids’ pull-up diapers. Drop off any items at our Oxmoor Welcome Center (1400 Oxmoor Rd.) during office hours, or our Trinity West campus (914 Oak Grove Rd.) anytime on the Outreach Collection Shelves located outside the Fellowship Hall.
