Ministry Match
Discover your perfect place to plug in!
We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new resource designed to help you find the perfect way to serve at Trinity. The Ministry Match Tool is an easy-to-use online survey that helps you discover volunteer opportunities that best align with your unique gifts, talents, and schedule.
We would love to connect you to service opportunities through Trinity UMC. Each ministry below is currently open to new hands to serve.
Serve at Church
Resource Fair
We need volunteers to help welcome residents, provide refreshments, assist with intake forms, and connect families with the organizations and resources available.
Party in the Lot Volunteer
It takes a village to make Party in the Lot a safe, fun, and successful event. Sign up for a time slot to chip in for this fun event.
Helping Hands
The church is always filled with odd jobs that need some helping hands! This ministry helps to fill any need that comes up throughout the year for all ministry areas.
Acolyte
Acolytes assist the pastors, and other leaders, during a worship service as they carry the light, processional cross, or Bible.
Wednesday Night Meal Server
During the school year our Wednesday night meal team needs help plating and serving meals to all of the families/individuals that come to share a meal with us.
Usher and Greeter
Create a warm, welcoming environment by greeting each guest as they arrive and helping them into the worship space.
Production/Tech Team
Help run our A/V systems for the ministry. This includes setting up audio needs, running the sound board, or helping click through the teaching slides, or even controlling the lights for the time of worship. Come shadow our team so we can find a place for you to serve.
Memorial Service Team
Also known as Joseph Ministers, these individuals care for and provide a welcoming presence for grieving families and their guests as we host memorial services at Trinity.
Serve the Community
ASP Volunteers
Trinity is heading to Appalachia Service Project (ASP) July 5–11, and we’re looking for adult volunteers who are ready to serve, encourage students, and help make homes warmer, safer, and drier for families in need.
Diaper Team
We will meet the last Thursday morning of each month to prepare baby diapers, adult incontinence products, and hygiene items for distribution at our Outreach Hub programs.
Trinity Tutors
This program provides in-school literacy support to young students at Hemphill Elementary! Our goal is to recruit a total of 30 volunteer tutors for all 6 kindergarten and 1st grade classes.
Family Promise Volunteer
We will be focusing our efforts in stocking family pantries for breakfasts and snacks that week by providing gift cards or preparing a meal.
Backpack Ministry
Many children who rely on free or reduced-priced lunches during the school year go home to meager or no meals on weekends. The Backpack Ministry works to help fill that gap.
Community English Class – ESOL
Trinity volunteers work to empower our neighbors with better English speaking, reading, and writing skills to overcome barriers to success.
Food Share
Each week we serve over 250 local households, giving each family shelf stable groceries, produce, and meat that we receive.
Sharing Table
Come be a part or a neighborhood initiative that grew to meet the needs of our neighbors facing financial insecurity.
