The Music Department of Trinity United Methodist Church enables musicians of all types and ages to express their faith through God’s gift of music. We provide many diverse and excellent ways of praising God and strive to do so with excellence. Our Music Ministry staff welcomes all those interested in sharing in the gift of music in worship.
The following is a list of musical groups within the Music Department of Trinity.
Associate Director of Music, Jodi Haskins organizes our wonderful children’s music program, which teaches and develops both vocal and instrument skills. Our children’s musical groups participate in multiple services and programs throughout the year.
See below for ways your children may become involved in our CONNECT MUSIC offerings.

These virtual classes are a great opportunity for children who miss singing together, praising God, and having fun. Full of music games and activities, Ms. Jodi, Ms. Jacken, and Ms. Theresa have planned an awesome semester of costume parties, talent shows, and worship that can be enjoyed all from the safety of your living room! Children participating in these classes will have an opportunity to record music for our online worship services. Class links will be sent prior to each meeting.
We are excited to offer small group in person classes. We will be offering drumming, ukulele, handbells, orff, handchimes, creative movement. These groups will begin Tuesday, Sept. 8 and will require registration to enable us to plan and gather safely.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will be offering small groups for elementary kids for 4 week sessions. All small groups will be limited in size, spacing participants 6 feet apart, and will use masks to protect each other while we connect. We will limit our sessions to 45 minutes to further limit exposure and do our best to meet safely for the full 4 weeks. Initially, we ask that you select ONE connect group per child so we can see as many smiling eyes as possible!
Children participating in these classes will also have an opportunity to record music for our online worship services!
