Partner Parish is a collaborative network of United Methodist churches committed to encouraging, equipping, and strengthening one another for ministry. Through shared learning, practical resources, and meaningful relationships, churches are supported as they grow in health, clarity, and mission.
You are not alone. Many churches today are asking the same questions: How do we reach new people in our community? How do we develop strong leaders? How do we move from maintenance to mission? How do we sustain momentum in a changing culture? Partner Parish exists because no church was meant to navigate those questions alone.
What Is Partner Parish?
Partner Parish is a relationship-centered model that connects churches for mutual encouragement, shared wisdom, and practical support. It is not about copying another church’s model, following a one-size-fits-all strategy, or bringing in outside consultants with all the answers. Instead, Partner Parish is about churches coming alongside one another to learn, share, and grow together, so that each church can flourish within its own unique community and context.
Why It Matters
We believe the future of the Church will be shaped by congregations that are willing to learn from one another, support one another, and stay rooted in a shared mission. Partner Parish exists because churches are stronger together than apart, renewal happens best in community rather than isolation, and every congregation has both wisdom to share and room to grow. How It Works
In-Person Gatherings
Partner churches gather throughout the year for shared learning, relationship building, and ministry conversations.
These gatherings include:

- Ministry-area breakouts
- Collaboration with pastors and lay leaders
- Honest conversation about real opportunities and challenges
Ongoing Connection
Between gatherings, churches remain connected through virtual touchpoints, peer relationships, and direct conversations with ministry leaders.
Shared Resources
Participating churches receive access to a growing library of resources, including:
- Ministry playbooks
- Leadership tools
- Templates and best practices
- Calendars, ideas, and ministry strategies
These resources are meant to be adapted, not simply adopted.
Coaching and Encouragement
Our role is to come alongside churches with support, perspective, and encouragement. We are not here to prescribe a plan for your church. We are here to help you discern faithful next steps in your own setting.
